Located in downtown Brenham is one of the area’s favorite and most unique eateries, Must Be Heaven Sandwich Shoppe. Always bustling with locals and visiting tourists, the restaurant welcomes its guests to feel at home with its southern diner décor, jukebox-style music and the smell of its delicious, fresh-baked and hand-crafted menu. Owners Traci and Charlie Pyle took over the business in 1999 and continue to offer the fun, memorable experience that their patrons have come to love since 1982.
Guests can look forward to the comforts of Must Be Heaven’s classic deli-style sandwiches as well as a unique array of creative specialty sandwiches and salads. The extensive menu is complemented with fresh salads, quiches, soups, and, of course, heavenly sweets including pies, cookies, cheesecakes and Brenham’s very own Blue Bell Ice Cream. Their famous pies are made from scratch each morning using only the finest and freshest ingredients. Their newest dessert, Charlie’s Bread Pudding with Bootleg Bourbon Sauce is made with their freshly baked bread and is already a crowd favorite. Also a best seller is their fresh, signature Chicken Salad with its unique, delicious taste served on a salad, as a sandwich or stuffed in your choice of a crispy phyllo shell, fresh Hass avocado or red ripe tomato. The Heavenly Specials are the orders of choice for most guests. Each special come complete with a drink, a fresh side dish and the enjoyment of choosing from a selection of tasty entrée options. Local sourcing is Must Be Heaven’s preference using products such as Eckermann’s brand sausage, and freshly roasted whole bean coffees from Independence Coffee.
Must Be Heaven’s inviting and spacious atmosphere provides the perfect venue for events and parties. The restaurant’s private dining room, The Gathering Place", offers a picturesque setting for private meetings, special luncheons, bridal or baby showers or birthday parties. The Gathering Place at MBH seats 24 people comfortably, prices include 2-4 hour time slots, use of all tables, chairs, serving items, and clean up! We have several options for your party! Please contact us on how to have your next "gathering" at the Gathering Place at MBH. For larger event needs, the entire building is available for rental after normal business hours for private parties and has third-party catering as an option.
